SimFic is a web application at https://simfic.net. It is a persistent AI
roleplay, interactive fiction, solo RPG, and text adventure experience. It
fits within those categories, but it is built more like a persistent story
world than a companion chatbot or a reset-loop adventure.

## How It Works

1. **Describe your world** - Share a description, genre, mood, literary
     reference, or brief user-owned excerpt. The Architect shapes a world
     from it, then goes silent.
2. **Step inside** - The story begins mid-scene. Characters are already
     moving, clocks are already ticking, and the world is already alive.
3. **The world remembers** - Every session resumes where you last left off:
     world state, character arcs, story progression, clocks, and past turn
     history.

## What Makes It Different

- **Consequences that persist** - Decisions, injuries, losses, and
     relationships leave structural marks on what follows. No resets. No safety
     nets.
- **Bounded character perspectives** - Key characters know only what they
     could realistically observe. They can misread you, act on partial
     information, and surprise you.
- **Dramatic tension by design** - Pacing rises and falls on purpose. Quiet
     scenes breathe. Crises escalate when they should.

## Content Boundaries

- Explicit NSFW, sexual, and erotic content is not permitted.
- Non-graphic romance, intimacy, implication, aftermath, and fade-to-black are
  allowed in the mode of mainstream non-pornographic fiction.
- Dark, violent, horrific, coercive, criminal-in-fiction, and otherwise mature
  non-sexual fiction remains allowed when the story calls for it.
- Existing copyrighted or access-restricted works may be used only as high-level
  references. SimFic does not reproduce, continue, or closely imitate protected
  text.
- SimFic does not impersonate or roleplay as real identifiable people.
